The Cotes Catalanes Blanc 'Mar i Muntanya' by Domaine de l'Horizon is made from a blend of Grenache Blanc and Macabeu. The grapes come from the youngest vines of the winery, under twenty years old, grown on sandy soils near the Mediterranean. The winemaking is simple and direct, with spontaneous fermentation and a nine-month aging in stainless steel that preserves its freshness. On the nose, it stands out for hints of citrus and white flowers, while on the palate it is lean and savory with a dry finish. Excellent as an aperitif, it pairs naturally with a platter of raw seafood.
