Falanghina 'Campanelle' Casa Setaro 2025
"Campanelle" is a Falanghina that is Mediterranean and fresh, cultivated in the Vesuvius National Park, at the foot of the Neapolitan volcano. Delicate notes of tropical fruit, citrus, aromatic herbs, and scrub parade in succession behind a mineral background. Freshness, rich flavor, and elegance accompany the sip towards a decisive and long finish
The Falanghina "Campanelle" is produced by the Casa Setaro winery at the foot of Vesuvius, using grapes from vineyards cultivated on precious volcanic soils. It is a Falanghina with a sunny and Mediterranean profile, expressing aromas of yellow fruit, citrus notes, soft tropical hints, scents of Mediterranean scrub, and flint. On the palate, it impresses with a lively burst of great freshness, which unfolds towards a juicy and rich mid-palate, finishing with pleasantly savory and marine sensations.
The white "Campanelle" from Casa Setaro originates in one of the most fascinating wine regions of the peninsula. The vineyards are located within the area of the Vesuvius National Park, and the presence of the volcano is the dominant element, not only of the landscape but also of the wines. The soils of sand, lapilli, and lava rocks are rich in minerals, particularly potassium, very draining and light, perfect for quality viticulture. The Falanghina vines are situated at an altitude of about 250 meters above sea level and are trained in Guyot with low yields. At the end of the harvest, the bunches undergo a brief cryomaceration and then fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine matures in steel for several months and then completes its aging period with 2 months in bottle before being released for sale.
The wine "Campanelle" from Casa Setaro is a pure Falanghina aged only in steel, which well expresses the varietal characteristics of the grape in its typicity, enriched by the notes that come from the unique and particular Vesuvius terroir. The volcanic-derived soils, the Mediterranean climate, refreshed by sea breezes and the slight altitude of the vineyards, contribute to giving the wine a marked territorial personality. The color is pale straw yellow. On the nose, it opens with delicately floral and citrus notes, followed by more mature aromas of yellow fruit and tropical fruit, with hints of Mediterranean scrub, flint, and iodized sensations. The sip is fresh and elegant, with crunchy fruit, a savory and mineral finish.
