The Meursault by Joseph Drouhin comes from one of the oldest communes of the Côte de Beaune, inhabited since the Neolithic and renamed Muris Saltus in Roman times. On clay and limestone soils, Chardonnay finds ideal conditions to express breadth and complexity. The maison ages it for fourteen to sixteen months in French oak barrels, with a measured proportion of new wood. On the nose, it unfolds aromas of honey, linden flower, and hazelnut butter, with hints of chamomile and hawthorn. On the palate, it shows a silky and enveloping roundness, with a long and spicy finish. Excellent with a fine sole in butter
