The Moscato d'Asti Canelli 'Suri Sandrinet' Cascina Cerutti is a sweet wine that is slightly sparkling, ideal to accompany dry pastries at the end of a family meal. On the palate, it is fresh, sweet, and fragrant, while on the nose it releases aromas of white peach, white flowers, and citrus hints, refreshed by pleasant notes of aromatic herbs, among which sage stands out. The perfect wine to conclude the meal beautifully!

Cascina Cerutti presents the Moscato d’Asti Canelli ‘Surì Sandrinet’, a sweet sparkling wine with a typically aromatic character that effectively expresses the traits of this popular denomination from Lower Piemonte reserved for Moscato Bianco. The estate is part of the Association of Moscato Producers of Canelli, established in 2001 with the aim of “protecting, enhancing, and promoting the excellence of the Canelli denomination” with its symbol grape: the Moscato Bianco of Canelli. Since the production area of Moscato d’Asti is very large, in 2011, also thanks to the efforts of the winemakers of Canelli, three subzones were recognized: Santa Vittoria, Strevi, and, indeed, Canelli.

‘Surì Sandrinet’ Moscato d’Asti Canelli is produced with only Moscato Bianco grapes grown on soils consisting of friable marl with a good sandy component, low clay and silt content, and high presence of sandy skeleton, iron, and limestone. The vines are located at an altitude between 350 and 380 meters above sea level and enjoy southeast, south, and southwest exposures. The harvest is done by hand in smallboxes in September and the bunches are then subjected to soft pressing followed by a slow alcoholic fermentation of the must in autoclave at controlled temperature until reaching 5% alcohol by volume. At this point, the wine is bottled with the residual sugar and the natural effervescence produced during fermentation.

The Moscato d’Asti Canelli ‘Surì Sandrinet’ is straw yellow with golden reflections. The wide and fruity bouquet shows aromas of white peach, tropical fruit, and citrus peel, supported by delicate notes of white flowers and sage. Tasting sweet, fresh, and lively, equipped with a good aromatic persistence.
