Officially founded in 1979 by Charles Tardy east of the town of Tain-l’Hermitage, the Domaine des Entrefaux is now led by François, Charles's son, who is joined by his wife Anne. The couple embraces the principles of organic farming, certified since 2013, and biodynamics, in an environmentally respectful vision revolving around the cultivation of Syrah.

This red wine originates from only Syrah grapes grown under organic and biodynamic regimes within the municipalities of Beaumont-Monteux, Chanos-Curson, and Pont de l’Isère. Here, the plants, aged between 10 and 60 years, benefit from the clay-limestone matrix of soils. Following the manual harvest, the winemaking takes place in concrete tanks with spontaneous alcoholic fermentation associated with 2-3 weeks of skin maceration. Malolactic fermentation is encouraged, and subsequently, 90% of the mass is aged for a year in oak barrels while the remaining 10% in stainless steel tanks. From these premises arises a full, soft, and juicy Syrah, characterized by intense sensations of berries and various spices.
